To become a qualified first-aider you must partake in either the Level 3 Emergency First Aid Course At Work or Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid, depending on your responsibilities. Once either course is completed you will be a qualified first-aider, ready to take on the welfare of others.

What do first aid courses involve?

Within the first-aid course you will learn how to examine a casualty, learn how to control bleeding and trauma, use a defibrillator, and familiarize yourself with basic life support. Learning these skills will help overcome a threatening situation long enough until medically trained individuals arrive on the scene.
