Develop the essential skills to plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging group fitness sessions with confidence. Throughout this Level 2 Group Training course, you’ll learn how to structure classes, use a variety of exercise methods, cue and motivate participants effectively, adapt sessions for all abilities, and ensure every class is safe, enjoyable, and results-driven.

Qualify as a Level 2 Group Training Instructor through flexible online study, with the freedom to complete your course at your own pace within 2 years.

You must be at least 16 years old. No prior fitness qualifications are required, but a basic level of fitness and an interest in leading group exercise sessions is recommended.

Here’s how you’ll be assessed:

Coursework & Online Exams: Complete written coursework and online multiple-choice exams to demonstrate your understanding of anatomy, physiology, health and safety, client support, and the principles of group training.

Industry Experience: Log a minimum of 20 hours of practical or industry experience to apply your knowledge in a real-world group training environment.

Practical Assessment: Deliver a planned group training session to showcase your ability to instruct, motivate, and supervise participants safely and effectively.

Portfolio Submission: Compile all required evidence, including worksheets, session plans, and practical documentation to confirm your competence as a group training instructor.
