The Sports Massage Package will give you the in-depth knowledge & skills to grow a successful sports massage therapy business.
Level 3 Diploma in Massage Therapy for Sports will teach you about the use of different massage techniques, business design, professional standards, and the principles that help athletes prepare and recover. You will develop knowledge and understanding about the following topics:
– Anatomy and physiology of the major joints and systems of the body.
– The principles of health and fitness and the effects that exercise has on the body.
– Treatments to support soft tissue repair, the use of cryotherapy, and heat treatments during soft tissue repair.
– Professional practice in sports massage.
– The fundamentals of sports massage treatments and be able to apply, carry out and evaluate sports massage treatments.
Level 4 Certificate in Massage Therapy for Sports will provide our students with additional manual techniques, in-depth subjective and objective assessments, and treatment to support injury rehabilitation. By the end of the course, you will have a full understanding of the following topics:
– The different types of assessments for sports massage treatments
– How information from the assessments influence the sports massage treatment plan
– The purpose of tests involved in an objective assessment
– Be able to perform a subjective and objective assessment
– Be able to devise a sports massage treatment plan
– Understand different types of massage techniques
– Be able to apply massage techniques
– Treatments to support injury rehabilitation
– The use of cryotherapy during injury rehabilitation

Theory & Exams
Level 3 Diploma in Massage Therapy for Sports, you will complete a coursework portfolio and 2 multiple choice exams.
Level 4 Certificate in Massage Therapy for Sports, you will complete a coursework portfolio and a case study.
Practical
Your practical assessment for both qualifications will be assessed over two separate weekends by completing a face-to-face or video assessment dependant on the learning option you choose.
Online Distance Learning is taught live via zoom by a fully qualified Sports Masseuse tutor. On completion of your weekend, you will be required to submit a video of your practical assessment. We recommend you purchase a massage bed to complete your assessment.
Face-to-Face has been designed for students who want the flexibility to study in their own time and want face-to-face instruction at a chosen location local to them. A qualified sports massage tutor will then teach you all the skills, techniques, and applications to enable you to practice sports massage therapy. You will complete your practical assessment on the same weekend.
You can qualify in just 16-24 weeks however will receive 2 years to complete your qualifications.

Online Distance Learning
This has been designed for students who want the flexibility to study in their own time, you can qualify in as little as 16 weeks. The qualification is assessed by completing a coursework portfolio and practical video assessments. The coursework portfolios are completed using our interactive e-learning platform.
The practical assessment is completed by attending 32 hours of live virtual teaching delivered over two separate weekends via zoom with a qualified Sports Massage Tutor. You would then be required to submit a video of your practical assessment.
Face to Face Blended Learning
Has been designed for students who want the flexibility to study in their own time and want face-to-face instruction at a chosen location local to them. The qualifications are assessed by completing a coursework portfolio, and a face-to-face practical assessment.
Once you have completed your coursework using our interactive E-learning platform you will be invited to attend your practical weekends. A qualified sports massage tutor will then teach you all the skills, techniques, and applications to enable you to practice sports massage therapy. You will complete your practical assessment on the same weekend.
